1. Introduction

Welcome to Sibanye.org (the “Site”). Sibanye We Are One Community Interest Company (“Sibanye,” “Sibanye.org,” "we," "our," "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we may collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website www.sibanye.org, including any other media form, media channel, mobile website, or mobile application related or connected thereto (collectively, the “Site”). Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the site.

2. Who & What We Are

Sibanye.org is the digital home of the Sibanye We Are One Community Interest Company. Established to support community projects and initiatives. We are not a charity. We’re a privately held and managed online community interest company (“CIC”), established as not-for-profit in 2023 and registered in England and Wales.

A community interest company is a limited company, the purpose of a CIC however is primarily one of community benefit rather than private profit.

CICs have a compulsory asset lock meaning that assets and profits are used for the benefit of the community. In addition to the CIC regulations, we operate under the same UK laws and regulations applicable to ordinary limited companies, meaning we are subject to corporation tax and file annual accounts.

All donations and funds raised are non-refundable and the Company retains full discretion over investment decisions and selection of projects and initiatives.
